Persuasion can be very complex to define and/or understand. Essentially by writing this paper, I am attempting to persuade my professor that I understand persuasion and how it relates to human communication. People use persuasion every day whether they realize it or not. It can be negative and attempt to manipulate or deceive. This illustration leads the reader to believe something strange will happen soon, and forces them to keep reading. Stoker uses many Gothic elements when describing Lucys tomb to enforce the tone of the scene.
